If you’ve ever wanted to visit a place that is completely scenic and serene, I highly suggest visiting the Houmas House Plantation & Gardens. Shooting Hope & Cody’s wedding there was an absolute dream. The two traveled all the way down south from Washington state for their destination wedding in Louisiana, where Hope’s family resides. With how gorgeous the Houma House was, I feel very confident they felt their trip was very worth it. (If you’re looking for a place to go on a date, this is it!)
Hope looked absolutely stunning in her intricately beaded dress, which was complemented well by Cody’s light grey suit. The couple had their first look on a quaint little pathway to the side of the House. I don’t have enough words to describe how sweet of a couple they are and how gorgeous of a location they chose. I will just have to let the photos do the talking.
The morning had started off quite cold, but slowly warmed to a delightful breezy temperature just in time for their outdoor ceremony at noon. The beautiful quiet atmosphere was perfectly fit for the two as they had a small ceremony in front of the house and a seated lunch in the Carriage House. Hope and Cody’s family sat together at a long banquet table, just like the ones you see in movies! Their reception was filled with stolen glances, laughter, and delicious food. For their exit, their family tossed shredded leaves as the two made their leave.
Both the grounds and the Carriage House dining hall made for a wonderfully elegant wedding.
Congratulations Hope & Cody!
