Kayla & Kyle’s Northshore Wedding

After months of not shooting weddings, I found myself in a bit of a fog. Kayla and Kyle’s wedding completely cleared that fog for me and I remembered why I love my job so so much! Kayla & Kyle were one of many couples that had to postpone their wedding due to the current pandemic. They kept their original wedding date of April 17th to get married and had a small, intimate ceremony. Their big wedding celebration was pushed back to last Friday, August 21st. Waiting was tough, but most definitely worth it!

After getting ready at the Holiday Inn, we headed to Fontainebleau State Park for their first look and portraits. The sun was shining after a week of almost constant rain and overcast skies. Though Louisiana heat tends to be sweltering, it was just slightly on the cooler side. Just enough to not have us begging for AC after 5 minutes. The sun was shimmering beautifully behind the southern oak trees. Time was running short, but their portraits were still an absolute dream. Once portraits were done, we headed off to Our Lady of the Lake for their vow renewal ceremony. Their reception at the Fleur De Lis Event Center followed, where they were able to finally celebrate big with their friends and family! During first dances, Kayla and her father surprised everyone with a special choreographed father-daughter dance! The night continued on filled with plenty laughs, drinks, and dancing. This crowd was not afraid to get down!

They ended their night with a sweet bubble send off.

Congratulations Kayla & Kyle!
