Allie is an extra special senior to me because I had the privilege of mentoring her a bit last October for her senior career project. Though she plans on going to Nicholls State University and study education, she also wants to pursue photography. So everyone keep an eye out for Allie, in a couple years time she might be a big time photographer.
Allie picked Longue Vue House & Gardens as her location. Earlier in the day we’d had rain and tornado warnings, but the skies cleared up by the time of the session. In fact, it was too bright and we had to keep to shady areas on Longue Vue because, as I’ve told Allie, lighting is more important than background. Longue Vue offers so much variety we were able to find wonderful spots. And when a cloud covered the sun, we would quickly rush to shoot in the areas that had been too bright.
Overall, Allie looked beautiful and you all should’ve seen the look on her mom’s face when we were doing her cap and gown shots. She was beaming with pride.
Congratulations to Allie, I know she will do amazing and I can’t wait to see how she blossoms!
